Do I have to use the body shop my insurance picked?
No. In California the choice of collision repair shop is yours. Your carrier can suggest a shop in their network, but you can bring the claim here and they still have to pay it.

Yes. Structural and unibody damage is measured against factory specification, pulled back into alignment and re-checked before any new panels go on.
What if the adjuster missed damage?
That's common — a lot of collision damage isn't visible until the panels come off. We document what we find, submit a supplement to your carrier and get the additional repair approved.
